Bank DKI's CSR Direction and Focus

Corporate Social Responsibility activity is an integrated part of a Company’s management. Bank DKI, as part of banking industry operated in Jakarta and surrounding area, is also included. Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program implementation, especially one that directly engages with the community, is expected to increase added-value of Bank DKI while also brings benefit to others.

Corporate social responsibility programs implementation carried out by Bank DKI always emphasizes on the importance of accuracy, effective and efficient in disbursement by means of strategic efforts especially conducted on education (educator and educational sector),  and generally also covers health, social (natural disaster/calamities) its supporting facilities and other means of awareness. The implementation of CSR programs should be implemented transparently, accountable and sustainable with the active participation from employees and also involveshe community and other related agencies. This is in line with the company's goal to actualize good corporate governance as well as to intensify Bank DKI’s real participation among the society. This also becomes aspiration of the Board of Commissioners in carrying out Bank DKI CSR programs in the future.

DKI Program CSR Program is disbursed on several sectors including education, environment, social development, art and culture and also banking education. These activities are implemented as manifestation Bank DKI’s commitment to participate on sustainable economic development, improving quality of life and beneficiary environment, encouraging community development, and preserving Bank DKI sustainability.

In its practice, Bank DKI is not only undertaking a philanthropy (charity) program to fulfill obligation. Way beyond, Bank DKI is committed to achieve CSR goals and philosophy as an integrated part of the company's activity that lies on the concept of sustainable community empowerment.

CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILTY LEGAL BASIS

LAW NO.40 OF 2007 ON LIMITED COMPANY

Corporate Social and Environmental Responsibility means a commitment to contribute in developing sustainable economy to improve living standard and beneficiary environment for the Company, local society, as well as community at large

LAW NO.25 OF 2007 ON CAPITAL INVESTMENT

Every investor has an obligation to:

a. Implement corporate social responsibility

b. Respect local community culture and tradition

c. Explanation of article 15 point b

“Corporate Social Responsibility” refers to a inherent responsibility of  every investment company to continuously develop balance and harmonious relationship according to local environment, values, norms and culture of the community.

CSR Program Activity in Bank DKI is supported by following source of funds:

 PROGRAM BUDGET

CSR Program is annually budgeted and arranged for current fiscal year implementation. CSR program budget allocation procedure is determined in Working, Budget and Strategic Plan, In 2011, Bank DKI allocated Rp1.2 billion for CSR program implementation.

DONATION FROM BANK DKI ZAKAT MANAGEMENT UNIT

Bank DKI Zakat Management Unit is the manager employees’ zakat in charge to disburse fund for Bank DKI related with CSR program specially for natural disaster relief.
